  • Dr. Laura Elena Tepelus, Occupational Health Physician

    Dr. Laura Elena Tepelus joined Occupational Health International in June 2011 and brings with her a wealth of specialist occupational healthcare knowledge and experience.

     

    Dr. Laura has held her DHA Licence as Specialist Occupational Health Physician since 2005 and has gained more than 12 years of experience in Occupational Health and General Medicine Services in Europe and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

     

    Her areas of professional interests lie in occupational health services and include clinical and industrial toxicology, occupational health related local and International standards and regulations, occupational health medical auditing, vaccination and travel medicine plus preventive medicine and infection control.

     

    As Head of Occupational Health and Travel Medicine Departments of Cedars, Jebel Ali International Hospital, for the past 7 years Dr. Laura was responsible for conducting and providing occupational health related services, toxicological related screenings, travel medicine, preventive medical services and also general medical services to a number of prestigious local and international companies located not only in the Jebel Ali Free Zone Area, but also in Dubai and other companies throughout the United Arab Emirates.

     

    Dr. Laura started her medical education at the European accredited University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Gr. T Popa”, Iasi, Romania in 1993 and in 1999 she graduated as a medical doctor.

     

    Following her graduation, she pursued post graduated specialization courses at the same University and achieved her specialization in Occupational Medicine. Furthermore, in 2007, Dr Laura obtained her Masters Degree in Clinical and Industrial/ Occupational Toxicology, her dissertation subject being "Heavy Metals Poisoning".


    Dr. Laura is an accredited ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 Auditor and UKOOA (OGUK) Certified Physician for Off-shore Medicals.

  • Dr. Sreelatha Gopalakrishnan, Specialist Obstetrician/Gynecologist

    Dr. Sreelatha was born and raised in Bangalore, India.

    She is a highly qualified and sought after Gynecologist with a natural talent for public speaking, giving lectures and talks to women on all aspects of female health education. 
     
    Dr. Sreelatha is an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery) Gold Medalist from the Government Medical College in Bellary, India and also qualified with a gold medal for OBG-MS (Master of Obstetrics) from the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Science, India.
     
    Dr. Sreelatha has worked as a junior Consultant at the Manipal Hospital in Bangalore, India before taking up residence in Dubai, UAE and working as a well respected Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecologist at the Al Noor Polyclinic, Satwa, Dubai.
     

  • Dr. Uday M. N. Al-Nuamany, General Practitioner

    Dr. Uday brings with him over eleven years of medical experience in both hospital and healthcare facilities within the United Arab Emirates and Iraq.

     As an experienced general practitioner, Dr. Uday is particularly interested in Healthcare Management and has a strong understanding and experience of Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation standards.

     

    He is also an active member of the International Iraqi Medical Association, Iraq Medical Association and holds BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider certificates for the American Heart Association.

     

    In his spare time, Dr. Uday is an avid reader and enjoys following the Arts and sport.

  • Dr. Rafid kh. Hassan, General Practitioner

    Dr. Rafid has over 9 years of experience in varying fields of medicine and achieved his Bachelor Degree of General Internal Medicine and Surgery ( M.B.Ch.B ) from Al-Mustansiryah University, in Baghdad, Iraq.
     

    Dr. Rafid has been a member of the Iraqi Medical Association since 2001 and has a thorough understanding and appreciation of general medicine, working previously in well known teaching hospitals in Iraq.  Also, Dr. Rafid has worked in the family medicine field and has a special interest in surgical procedures. 

     

    In his spare time, he likes to follow football and enjoys swimming.

  • Dr. Mohamed Moursi, Cardiologist

    Dr Mohamed Hafez Moursi is Cardiologist Specialist and earned his Masters Degree in Ain-Shams University, Cairo (Egypt).

     

    He has had an extensive international experience, working as a specialist cardiologist in highly recognized facilities across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United State of America and United Arab Emirates.

     

    Some of these facilities include the Armed Forces Hospital in Cairo (Egypt), Dar El - Shefa Hospital  (Ain Shams University Affiliated Hospital) Cairo (Egypt), University of Alabama at Birmingham, Alabama (USA), King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) Medical Centre (Saudi Arabia) and King Faisal Specialist Hospital (Saudi Arabia).

     

    More recently, he has been based in the UAE as a consultant specialist cardiologist at various hospitals and medical centres.

     

    He is a member of the Egyptian Cardiac Society, Saudi Heart Association, American Medical Society of Vienna, European Cardiac Society, International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (ISCU)  U.S.A., Emirates Cardiac Society and the American College of Cardiology.

     

    He has written various publications and articles for cardiology journals and also presented his many topics in conferences around the world.

     

  • Dr. Samhita Deshpande, GP Dentist

    For Dr. Samhita Deshpande, a graduate from Government Dental College, Mumbai, India in June 1992, the patient always comes first !

    A commitment to offering the patients highest quality of dental care and treatment choices, Dr. Samhita has always helped creating beautiful and healthy smiles. She provides a wide range of dental services from restorative and cosmetic procedures (smile design, crowns and bridges, ceramic veneers, dental whitening, white fillings) to oral surgery (extractions), endodontics (root canal therapy) to periodontal (gum treatments), pediatric as well as preventive care (oral health awareness).

    She worked with the oral and trauma center in Sassoon General Hospitals, Pune India refining her surgical skills in 1992 after graduation. She also worked with Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College, Pune, India as a lecturer in Department of Prosthodontics and Periodontology improving the quality of patient life through good dental health.

    Dr. Samhita has honed her skills passionately by being in Private practice since Jan 1995, until 2007 in Pune, India. She shifted her base to Dubai in Sept 2007 helping patients in complete makeovers for smiles. She keeps herself updated with latest dental technologies by attending various dental updates and continuing education courses. 

     

  • Dr. Yogita Sharma, GP Dentist

     Dr. Yogita graduated from the prestigious Government Dental College and Hospital (GDC &H) institution, Mumbai India, in 2001.

    She is an active member of Indian Dental Association (IDA) since that time also and has over 9 years of experience in dentistry, which includes a diverse range of dental treatments in both India and Dubai, UAE. Her fields of interest include Endodontic and Cosmetic Dentistry. She has participated in many conferences and dental workshops both in India and throughout the UAE and keeps herself well informed with the latest techniques, equipments and dental procedures.

    Her rich professional experience comes through the diversified roles she had within her career, including:

    Dental Surgeon in the Naval wing of the Indian Armed Forces.
    Lecturer and Dental surgeon at Mahatma Gandhi Missions College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai, India.
    Managing her private practice for 5 years at Advanced dental clinic in Mumbai, India.

    Apart from dentistry, her passion is for music together with a fair interest in playing table tennis and running marathons.

  • Dr. Hazem Hassan Eid, Specialist Radiologist

    Dr. Hazem Hasan Eid is currently the Head of Imaging Department of Medsol Diagnostics Center in Dubai. He is also an Associate Professor and Consultant of Radiology at the University of Alminofeyia, Egypt.  Prior to joining Medsol Diagnostics, he was a Consultant Radiologist at Alqassimi Hospital, in Sharjah, UAE from 2007 to 2011. He also served as Head of Radiology Department of Fakhry Hospital -Khobar, Saudi Arabia from 2001 until 2006.

    He is also a member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and, the Saudi Society of Radiology (SSR) since 2003, and the Emirates Society of Radiology.

    He has obtained his Masters and MD degrees from the Alexandria University in Egypt.

    During his 21 years practice of medicine, Dr. Hazem gained experience related to the medical practice, management as well as in most of the subspecialties in the field of Radiology.

    He has more than 16 papers published in international and local journals, and half of them he was the main author.
